About

Endless Summer Vacation is the eighth studio album by American singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus, released on March 10, 2023, through Columbia Records. It marks her first major release after signing with Columbia Records in early 2021, following her departure from RCA Records after her seventh album, Plastic Hearts (2020). The album is described as a pop and dance-pop record, which is a shift from the synth-pop, rock, and glam rock genres of *Plastic Hearts*. Cyrus has expressed that the album is a 'love letter to LA' and that its track sequencing mirrors the progression of a day. The album is divided into two parts: AM and PM. AM represents 'the morning time, where there's a buzz and energy and there's a potential of new possibilities', while PM represents the nighttime, which 'feels like there's a slinky, seediness and kind of a grime but a glamour at the same time'. To promote the album, Cyrus released a special on Disney+ called *Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions)*, featuring live performances and discussions about the album's creative process.
