ASDR is a collaborative album by Japanese-American rapper Shing02 and Brooklyn-based producer Chimp Beams, released in 2012. The album features Shing02's English lyrics over Chimp Beams' organic, live-instrumentation-focused production. It blends hip hop with electronic elements. The album came about after Shing02 and Chimp Beams collaborated on the track "Aquatrium," from Chimp Beams' album *Slowly*. The album was created during a period when Shing02 spent time in New York, allowing for close collaboration.
The lyrics on *ASDR* reflect Shing02's experiences in New York and his interactions with local musicians during his travels. The album features contributions from Dorothea Tachler, DJ Icewater, and trumpeter Takuya Kuroda. It was released on CD, double LP vinyl, and digital formats. A Japanese release with three bonus tracks was also available from Ultra-Vybe.
