About

Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, also known simply as Fleetwood Mac, is the debut studio album by the British blues rock band Fleetwood Mac. It was released in February 1968 and is a mix of blues covers and original songs written by guitarists Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer, who also share vocal duties. Notably, it's the only Fleetwood Mac album without Christine McVie's involvement. The album's recording sessions took place in London at CBS and Decca Studios between April and December 1967. Mike Vernon produced the album. The release of "Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac" brought the band immediate success, reaching No. 4 on the UK Albums Chart and remaining on the chart for 37 weeks, despite not having a hit single. While successful in the UK, the album only reached No. 198 on the Billboard 200 in the US. The album is often referred to as "Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac" to distinguish it from their later 1975 self-titled album.
