Significance
Canadian iTunes staff were impressed with the album, describing it as adult contemporary with a twist of electropop, and a reference point of The Cranberries. Prior to the album's release, GQ Magazine UK called Motel Raphaël "the most exciting band to come out of Montreal since Arcade Fire".
