About

Misadventures is the fourth studio album by American rock band Pierce the Veil, released on May 13, 2016, through Fearless Records. It serves as a follow-up to the band's third studio album, *Collide with the Sky* (2012). The album's title reflects the various unexpected turns and experiences encountered by the band during the album's creation. The lyrics detail personal experiences of lead singer Vic Fuentes, such as failed relationships, and for the first time, a contemporary historical situation in the song "Circles," which is about the November 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris. The album was recorded throughout 2014 and 2015 at Sonic Debris Recording Studio on Long Island, New York. Pierce the Veil reunited with Dan Korneff, who also co-produced the band's previous album, *Collide with the Sky*. Vic Fuentes searched for inspiration in various locations, including New York, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Seattle. The standard version of the album features eleven tracks, while a deluxe edition, released exclusively on CD in select countries, includes acoustic versions of "Floral & Fading" and "Today I Saw the Whole World".
